ABOUT US (HISTORY OF SCHOOL)

      The school started the education in 1996 at another school building in the town center called as  “Anatolian High School” . The construction of the new school  building  located on the high way -on the top of  a  hill  with a breathtaking ocean view  began   next  year and was completed in a very short time. It was constructed by a benefactor named as “Derici Mustafa Gürbüz”  so it was  called with his name and opened  in 2000 in its new building. The gym saloon was completed two years later and it was called the benefactor’s wife named as “Zehra Gürbüz Gym Salon”

      There was only one headmaster, Hayati Gözalan, who is still head teacher of the school and a few teachers and  60 students of two classes. It is now  45 teachers  and 500 students of  21 classes.

      There is  a  science laboratory, a library, a computer room, a project hall,  a paint workshop, a canteen,  a music room and  an  indoor sports centre. The classes consist of minimum 15 and maximum 30 students. The duration of the lessons is 45 minutes followed by either 5 or 10 minutes breaks. The lunch break is 45 minutes and students can  have a choice of either school meal or the canteen’s.  The school starts at 8.05 and finishes at 15.35 and there are 37 hours of classes a week.
